- Teresa Tang from Brisbane State High School in Queensland has won the International Brain Bee Competition (IBB) held in Cape Town, South Africa this week.
- The Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) at The University of Queensland has secured $2 million in research funding from the estate of Clem Jones, prompting advocacy group Alzheimer’s Australia to call on the Federal Government to follow their lead.
- Scientists are closer to locating a therapeutic target for neurodegenerative disorders including Motor Neurone Disease (MND) after observing the gene linked to a number of brain conditions.
