- 19 January 2024A beautifully stained blue and gold neuron has taken out the 2023 QBI Art in Neuroscience Image Competition.
- Researchers have studied nocturnal coral reef fish to uncover how these fish use specialised retinas for faster and more sensitive sight in low-light conditions, giving the fish the equivalent of in-built night-vision
- 16 January 2024High school student, Emma Peng, participated in UQ’s Young Changemakers Program last year. The experience prompted her to embark on an internship in the Balbi lab at the Queensland Brain Institute.
