Better treatments for people with autism are needed, although several options do currently exist. These include early intensive behavioural intervention, medications that can assist with some features of autism, educational therapies, and communication therapies.

The evidence for the effectiveness of autism treatments varies widely, so it is important to research them thoroughly.
