Speaker: Dr Eva Hoch (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München)

Title: Cannabis: Potential and Risks. A scientific analysis

Abstract: Internationally, there is a heated cannabis debate ongoing. What are the risks of recreational cannabis use? How effective and tolerable is cannabis as medicine? To find answers to these questions, a group of 30 German cannabis experts conducted a systematic review of the global scientific literature published in the past decade. As head of the „Cannabis Research and Treatment Group“ Dr Hoch was steering this project on behalf of the German Government. In her talk, Dr Hoch will present the principal findings of the „Cannabis Report“, which was published in January 2019.
