for an informative breakfast panel discussion about Stroke research presented by Professor Jason Mattingley, Doctor Tara Walker and Doctor Rohan Grimley. 

 

Speaker Topics

QBI’s Professor Jason Mattingley will discuss his research into mechanisms of selective attention in both the healthy and diseased brain, with a particular focus on how attentional processes influence perception, learning, and neural plasticity during recovery from stroke.

Doctor Tara Walker, who has recently joined QBI, will discuss her plans to apply her knowledge of neural stem cell biology to stroke research, with the aim of maximising recovery.

Dr Rohan Grimley,  a Geriatrician and Stroke Physician from the Sunshine Coast/Nambour Hospital, where he has developed a high quality integrated stroke service, will discuss local issues and his experiences in incorporating service improvement into everyday clinical practice.
