In collaboration with Children's Health Queensland, and other partners, we are implementing Neuroscience Communities of Practice to establish shared knowledge, learning, and supports. We are supporting and investigating the delivery of neuroscience focused communities of practice, across and within sectors in Qld.

Brain Building in the Early Years Community of Practice

The Thriving Kids Brain Builders Initiative is excited to announce that registrations are now open for Brain Building in the Early Years Community of Practice (CoP), created in collaboration with Children’s Health Queensland Project ECHO Team, Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership, and the Ian Potter Foundation.

The Brain Building in the Early Years CoP series will bring together allied health and education practitioners to deepen their understanding of brain development and explore how to apply brain-building principles in everyday interactions with children. Communities of Practice are a unique and dynamic way to build best practice and new knowledge and share common concerns or interests within and across sectors.

The series will focus on the ADEC models:

  • Explore
  • Interact
  • Eat
  • Sleep

Target audience: We invite practitioners working with children or families under 5 years of age, across health and education sectors to join.

  • Frequency: Monthly
  • Day:            Last Tuesday of the month
