You are cordially invited to participate in the 2019 Science of Learning Research Centre (SLRC) Symposium to be held at The University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia, St Lucia Campus from 1 ​November 1-2, 2019.

The Science of Learning Research Centre is a Special Research Initiative of the Australian Research Council. In the Centre, researchers in education, neuroscience and cognitive psychology are working together with teachers to understand the learning process.

Getting to QBI

The Queensland Brain Institute is located within the University of Queensland (St Lucia) on Upland Road

Parking

As parking is limited we suggest, if possible, catching alternative transport, please note Chancellors Place is the closest bus stop to QBI.

Parking regulations

Parking regulations apply 24 hours a day, 365 days a year:

  • Paid parking applies from 7am until 9pm Monday to Friday, including semester breaks and mid-semester breaks.
  • Paid parking does not apply on weekends, public holidays, or from Christmas Day to New Year's Day (25 December to 1 January).

Accommodation

There are many options for accommodation nearby to The University of Queensland.​

UQ Colleges

There are several residential colleges on the UQ campus that are a short walk from QBI.  They are available during semester breaks, and some of them also offer short term accommodation during semester time.  Please contact the individual UQ colleges for more information.

The UQ St Lucia campus is 7km from Brisbane CBD. Suburbs surrounding St Lucia include Indooroopilly, Toowong and Taringa, where there are the following hotels:
