Designing a virtual reality and conversational AI tool to support job interview skills after traumatic brain injury

Immersive virtual reality (VR) technologies can provide a safe, simulated experience that allows people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) to develop skills which are necessary for an effective job interview. The simulation can be customised to provide an experience at a pace that is comfortable, tailored, and meaningful to the individual, assisting them to practice for an effective interview. Virtual agents can replicate verbal and non-verbal cues, which traditional technological mediums lack. By integrating new generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into a simulated environment, interviews can be tailored to the interests and needs of the client for a personalised experience. This project aimed to design, develop and explore the feasibility of using a tool with an AI powered conversational agent to support individuals with TBI undertaking job interviews.
