“Seeing is believing” - what can single molecule imaging teaches us about how memory works and mental disorders?”

About the super-resolution microscopy symposium

The first super-resolution microscopy symposium was inaugurated in 2014 by Stéphane Romatet, Ambassador of France and Peter Høj, UQ Vice Chancellor, as part of Microscopy@UQ.

This second minisymposium will highlight super-resolution imaging techniques and novel scientific concepts emanating from using these techniques. New technological platforms will be introduced by Dr Jean-Baptiste Sibarita. How change in protein mobility can affect high level cognitive functions such as memory acquisition will be discussed by Prof Daniel Choquet.

ECRs from UQ will have the opportunity to present their work and interact with Prof Daniel Choquet and Dr Jean-Baptiste Sibarita who are leaders in this field. This symposium is sponsored by the Queensland Brain Institute and the Single Molecule Neuroscience lab.
