Thanks to your kindness, our researchers can push the boundaries of neuroscience discovery. Through you, they receive the freedom to follow the science to make a lasting human impact.
Our 2025/2026 QBI Research Impact Report reflects the trajectory of our research made possible with your support.
There is much to be proud of as we reflect on the past year, including progress towards the early detection of Parkinson’s disease and breakthroughs in microRNA research, with the potential to identify and manage the underlying genetic causes of disease.
The true measure of research impact takes much longer than a year. For example, our human exercise studies date back to the findings about adult brain stem cells in the early 2000s. And the new drug for motor neurone disease being tested this year is thanks to research dating back to the 1990s into a protein that helps nerve cells function and heal.
We are grateful for the difference you have made in the lives of researchers and communities by supporting brain research. The report is available digitally or as a downloadable PDF for printing.
