Brain Awareness Week

“Everything we do, every thought we've ever had, is produced by the human brain. But exactly how it operates remains one of the biggest unsolved mysteries, and it seems the more we probe its secrets, the more surprises we find.”

- Neil deGrasse Tyson

Brain Awareness Week 2024: 11 March - 15 March

During Brain Awareness Week, learn more about the wonders of your brain and the vital role neuroscience plays in helping us all live healthier and happier lives.

Getting Deep into Sleep

The Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) celebrates Brain Awareness Week by hosting a free public lecture in Brisbane with experts sharing the latest research on a topic that interests us all.
In 2024, our expert panel will explore sleep – why we need it, what happens in our brain while we snooze, and when we don’t sleep enough.
