Researcher biography

I'm a neuroscientist with a background in neurodegeneration and neurogenesis. My research focuses on how inflammation may alter the course of Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. We use a range of in vitro and in vivo techniques to identify the underlying mechanisms occuring during neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. Prior to working in the Neurula lab, I completed my PhD in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Melbourne, studying the structural and functional characteristics of the protein that causes Huntington's disease.
